Ending our Literature Unit: We wrapped up our unit on “Interpreting Characters” by focusing on theme. Each group came up with a theme and a life lesson for the story, Tiger Rising. Then, they presented their thinking to the class.

We’re starting a new unit on Nonfiction!!  In pairs, students read a page of nonfiction text with the goal of identifying the main idea and the supporting details.
